There are good tips to help better understand the guitar. such that the rule of 5. If you want to play the same note on the gutiar, you just go up 5 frets (to ankles) and a chain. The exception this rule is the string B. To get to the B chain, you only go up 4 spaces. Also any type of lesson on technique will help tremendously. I see a lot of beginners struggling with things like scratching, simply because they simply do not have the proper technique. You do not scratch your arms, you scratch your hand and wrist minor. Things such action could be sold as a gimmick and the secrets of the guitar. But you are right these ads are garbage. Just get lessons, they are cheaper and will help you more in the end.
