Let's face reality, it seems to be so many small guitar scales around to choose, how do you know what scale that is more important even minor scale what do you use to get the right sound?

The Dorian Minor Scale

If you want your song to be a bit more of a funky taste, try the Dorian minor scale. Change the pentatonic scale in a range Dorian Minor by adding in the 2nd grade and 6th grade of the five original notes. If you've already heard the term Dorian Funk, because lick or riffs you hear are built from the Dorian scale, the second mode of the Major. The Aeolian Minor Scale
